Iernut, colloquia Ernot, Iernot (Radnót in Hungarian, in German Radnuten) is a city in Mureş county. The city is located in west county, the river is a matter Mureş.Relieful typical hilly, with some lowland areas in the left side of the Mures, which is actually terraces of the river Mureş. The highest of these terraces are and most remote city, being the Cigaşe at an altitude of 448m. The terrace of ISCIP of 8-10m is one of the city. Locality is attested since 1257 documentary named Ranoltu. In the city have found vestiges of a Roman colony.
