Local resources: Diosig

The main local resource of Diosig commune is represented by the agricultural terrain that can be exploited through by leases or concessions. Other local resources can be the considered budgetary resources of the locality and not least the resources of the business environment. As community resources, we remember the thermal water and the 2 lakes with fish fund and the Ier river which crosses the village .

This precious resource could be used in a balneal-touristic complex to heat homes and vegetable greenhouses. This model is already being used by other localities in the county.

Agricultural area        The total area of the village is 9006.491 hectares, of which agricultural area is 7980.48 ha, this summing arable land, pasture, meadow, vineyard, orchards. The range of the activities in the fields:  vegetal ( 5000 hectares planted with grain, industrial products like sugar beet, rape),  zootehnic (there are cattle farm livestock held by PF and also have a poultry farm with possibility of extension)    viticol - pomicol, a private sector, there is an association of wine-growers with 15 hectares of vines.
