Presentation catalogues of Suatu and its school, created at PAPI

25.11.2011

PAPI Suatu created presentation catalogues for the locality and the secondary school, including detailed information and illustrations on community life. Basically, the documents are an opportunity to show potential partners of the local administration and potential investors how the commune in Cluj County presents itself.

The idea belongs to RECL manager Dan Mihai Timoc, who wished to showcase PAPI activity in a new way. „People were still coming to PAPI to ask what we were doing. To offer an answer we created a wall listing all our projects and these catalogues. They have 20 pages and include the essential elements of the institution and locality they are about. The catalogues were created by using PAPI equipment”, Timoc explains.

The commune’s catalogue includes information about local geography and population, and descriptions of the main projects completed in the commune during the last year – like creating the fresh water distribution network, the sewerage and expansion of the public lighting.

“The school’s catalogue includes special mentions of the primary and the secondary classes, with a description of the school and its educational offer, completed projects and the space where the learning process takes place”, the RECL manager says.

Each catalogues includes relevant photos of the commune and schools. PAPI visitors can read the catalogues while guests can event take a copy. It’s an opportunity to show potential partners of the local administration and potential investors how the commune in Cluj County presents itself.

Online promotion

PAPI Suatu is also very active on the internet. The Facebook page already reached more than 160 people, and there is increased traffic on the page on the ecomunitate.ro platform, http://www.suatu.ecomunitate.ro.

„We have reached the threshold of 5,000 visitors at PAPI. A round figure we are proud of and which represents the result of our activity in the past year. We also had free trainings for the unemployed. We are cooperating with the voluntary emergency response service, for which we offer logistic support”, Timoc says.

A source of diverse information for the community

From PAPI one can learn at any time the weather report, weather and flood warnings. The centre also communicates with institutions SVSU Suatu answers to, and ensures immediate reporting to the Waters Management System, Cluj Prefect’s Institution and County Emergency Response Inspectorate. Such information includes raising the level in rivers and any weather extreme enough that SVSU Suatu might need outside help.

RECL employees also helped expand the local internet network by centralising requests and mediating with the Internet provider. Presently over 100 homes have internet access.
