This year, the 12th edition of Best Film Fest will take place during three weeks in three cities: Bucharest, January 27th – February 2nd (Cinema Studio and the Union room of the Romanian Cinematheque), Drăgăşani, February 3rd to 9th, (EuroCinema), and Vaslui, February 10th to 16th (EuroCinema Silver Mall).
Critics and journalists are invited to vote for: „the best film screened in Romania in 2011”, „the best European film screened in Romania in 2011”, „the best Romanian film of 2011”, „best actress in a Romanian film of 2011”, „best actor in a Romanian film of 2011”, and „best Romanian director in 2011”.
The deadline for votes was January 10th. Among eligible Romanian films are "Bună! Ce faci?" (English title: Hello! How Are You? ), by Alexandru Maftei, "Aurora", by Cristi Puiu, and "Din dragoste, cu cele mai bune intenţii" (Best Intentions), by Adrian Sitaru.
International productions include "Black Swan", by Darren Aronofsky, "Biutiful", by Alejandro González Iñárritu, and "127 hours", by Danny Boyle.
