Cornelia Presada, Mircea Vodă RECL manager: “Work at PAPI is fulfilling”
30.01.2012
| When counting results for the year that passed, Cornelia Presada, Mircea Vodă RECL manager, is happy with the accomplishments of 2011. The biggest reward she can get is seeing the happy faces of other locals. Some found jobs after the training at PAPI; other wrote projects for non-reimbursable funds and are awaiting for them to be declared eligible. |
The biggest accomplishment of 2011, RECL manager Cornelia Presada thinks, is implementing the CONECT project “Agriculture entrepreneurs – partners for the future”, in cooperation with the communes of Florica and Bordei Verde. “Ten people from Mircea Voda attended. They took entrepreneurial trainings and basic computer classes. CONECT was at the same time an exchange between the three communities. It was a successful project”, RECL manager Cornelia Presada says.
The second biggest gain for the community which the RECL manager lists among her accomplishments is a project in partnership with the Regional Association for Consulting, Development and Assistance (ARCA) Braila. 18 locals learned to speak English, work on computers and got valuable information about opening a business with non-reimbursable funds. “That was the SOP HRD project «Increasing economic competitiveness and employment of the rural workforce». After the training, young Adrian Stareţ and his father wrote a project and they are now waiting to see if it’s declared eligible. The two want to start a cattle ranch”, Cornelia Presada says.
Locals, happy with the activity of their RECL manager
Villagers in Mircea Vodă understood that projects in which the rm tries to get them involved are their future. They don’t hesitate in coming to PAPI each time new training are organised.
Adrian Stareţ is just 21 years old. Before taking the course «Increasing economic competitiveness and employment of the rural workforce», he didn’t even dream of becoming a business man. Now, he’s eagerly waiting to see if the project written with help of PAPI employees will be accepted, and whether he will receive the funds to start a family business. “For me, personally, the training organised by Ms Presada helped a lot. She’s has a very open attitude and is very involved in community life. We learned many new things thanks to her and decided to go on, in the hopes I will make a path for myself in life. Tomorrow I will learn if the project is eligible”, Adrian Stareţ says.
Three people found jobs
RECL manager Cornelia Presada is satisfied that her trainees have actually benefited from getting the diplomas; some of them managed to find jobs after the training. “Three people found jobs. We managed to get them out of situations stinting their growth and showed them they can accomplish something. Even if they now have jobs, we still invite them to activities and they show up. We want an active community, not a dead one”, the RECL manager explains.
Always in the middle of children
Even if the managing position takes up a lot of time and energy, Cornelia Presada does not forget her other job. She is a librarian in the commune’s library and always among children, for whom she always finds a nice word. PAPI and the Library are the places where she feels at home and accomplished both professionally and on a personal level. “Besides the family, which is everything to me, PAPI is the place where I feel truly accomplished”, RECL manager Cornelia Presada sums up.
