Community: Diosig
Diosig commune is situated in the north-western part of the Bihor county, with a total surface of 9006,491 ha and with a population of 7.100 inhabitants.
The commune has the characteristics of the hilly area, being part of the West Plain and Hills. It is at the border with Hungary, the connection being made through the Letavertes - Săcuieni customs point, a town situated 12km far from Diosig.
History
The name of the commune appeared for the first time between 1332 and 1337 in the pope's register. The first owner was the Dorogi branch of the Gutkeled family. After 1800, owner was Count Zichy Ferenc. In 1870, with his collaboration, the royal Magyar school of vineyardists.
