Starting this year, residents of Grădiştea, a commune in Vâlcea County, will have an ethnographic museum where the local librarian has gathered several objects specific to the area, considering this to be the only way in which young people can learn about their roots.
The Museum will be inaugurated on the feast of the Holy Virgin, in the middle of August, while PAPI employees will help promote it, since it could become an important tourist attraction and provide economic support to the community.
The museum has been set up in a typical Grădiştea home, a peasant house with two rooms, which were used to sleep and eat. The house is also more than 100 years old and was disassembled peace by peace and recreated in an accessible place, where it will become a museum.
