On the night between the 15th and 16th of May of this year, the sixth edition of the “European Night of Museums” will take place and all the member states of the Council of Europe will take part in this event.
The night of museums aims at stimulating the interest of the general public in the wealth and diversity of the national and European cultural heritage, ensuring the free access to the museum collections.
In Romania, the same as the other European countries, the number of visitors – participants in the night of museums has grown each year, and most of them are young people, according to the data from the county directorates for culture.
