PAPI Recaş mobilised more than 150 volunteers for „Let`s do it, Romania!”
07.10.2011
The PAPI centre in Recaş coordinated the local volunteer team which took part, this year, in the national clean-up programme „Let`s do it, Romania!”.
Silvia Muller, RECL manager, says the PAPI team offered support for the project since 2010, when its first edition took place, which helped things go even smoother this year.
According to the RECL manager, PAPI Recaş coordinated local volunteers and other four nearby villages, up to a total of 157 people, mostly young.
In the first stage of the project, the RECL manager advertised the event in school and managed to mobilise the youngest of volunteers. At the same time, piles of trash in the designed clean-up areas were charted, photos were taken and a plan was drawn out. Taking into account the quantity and placement of garbage piles that needed to be liquidated, the 157 volunteers were split into several teams.
