Community presentation: Amărăşti

Amărăşti village is located in the southern part of Olteţului Platform from the Getic Plateau and has as neighbors Găvile village to the North, Creţeni village to the South, Suteşti village to the East and Guşoieni village to the West. The village is composed by Amărăşti, Memoiu, Mereşeşti, Palanga and Padina localities. The village's territory has the characteristics of hills with an altitude of 300-350 m, narrow peaks and the hills middle region is cut by deep valleys. On one side and the other of the brooks are grown cereals and vegetables, and the hills are suitable for vines and fruit trees. The soil is made of friable material - clays, bedrock, sand or gravel. Pesceana brook, Nimoi brook and Aninoasa brook are crossing the village's territory.
