Local resources: Iaslovăţ
In these regions, natural conditions have provided the human since ancient times enough natural riches: wood, stone and water, essential elements of life.
Hydrographic network is characterized by an average density of flowing water, being composed of brooks: Solca, brook Iaslovăţ with its tributaries, Săcu, La Mesteceni, Crasmei. Brook Iaslovăţ stems from coniferous forest and crosses the town from West to East with a length of over 12 km then it flows into Solca brook, a tributary of Suceava on Gura Solcii settlement's territory.
A natural resource particularly important is the forest which is still offering an area of 300 hectares to this settlement. Forest stretched in the XVth century across the border between Iaslovăţ and Volovăţ in the North-West of the place. Today these forest no longer exist. It remained only the name of the places "La Făgeţel, La Mesteacăn” showing that here there were secular forests of beech and birch. The village forest reserve consists of coniferous forest (resinous
