Baneasa town is situated in the north - west of Constantza county and has as territorial demarcations - in the East - Ion Corvin Commune, West - Lipnita commune and the Bulgarian Republic, North - Oltina Commune and Ion Corvin Commune,South - Dobromir Commune and the Bulgarian Republic.
Baneasa and its surroundings offer many reservations, monuments and monasteries for those interested in nature, history and spirituality - the woods of Negureni, Canaraua Fetii - a natural reservation, Pacuiul lui Soare, Saint Andrew's Monastery , Monastery of Dervent and the Adamclisi Monument.
History
Baneasa is historically certificated around 1750, being initially a meeting place for all traders crossing Dobrodgea county, located in the south of Danube, a village named Parachioi- the money village. In 1850 is recognised as a locality having judicial status, respectively a commune with a church in 1850 and a Romanian school in 1869.
