Community: Brăeşti
Brăeşti is a village common for the Jijia-Bahlui hollow, with spontaneous vegetation of forest-steppe, with a humid and chilly climate. Even the houses are specific ones being mainly rural buildings, with 3-4 rooms and a porch, and the houses' ornamentations are wooden with slate rooftops.
The village is bordered by Văculești and Corlăteni in the North, by Roman in the East, by Leorda in the South and by Vârfu Câmpului in the West. The village is istuated at the point of contact with Suceava Plateau within the hilly extension in the left-side of Siret river.
History
The date of the establishment Brăeşti is not a certainty, being several hypotheses; some documents indicate that the village would have occurred after the family name Braevici, some of them being councilors at the court of Iuga (1399-1440) but the village's name is listed first during the time of Stephen the Great, in the year 1442.
