Community: Frata
Romanian village, of the existence of which written historical documents talk about very late, not until the beginning of the 13th century, although archaeological discoveries attest a greater age (mentioned in maps in about 300 AD), Frata is situated in the region of the rooted up forest hills and valleys, known as the Transylvanian Plain. Frata is a boundary commune, situated at the border between Cluj county and Mureș county. The neighbouring communes from Cluj are: Ceanu Mare, Cojocna, Suatu and Mociu, and from Mureș county: Valea Larga, Miheșu de Câmpie, Balda and Vișinel.
The inhabitants from Frata commune are proud, first of all, of all the specific values of the Frata folk culture.
