Community: Jimbolia
In the Romanian urban system, Jimbolia is in the small towns category, with less than 20,000 inhabitants, being on the 175th place in the top of the 261 of the country's towns. In the Timiş county, Jimbolia town placed, in 2002, the fourth as population (11,113 inhabitants in 2002), after Timişoara, Lugoj and Sânnicolau Mare, having 1.5% of the county's total population and 2,5% of its urban population.
The whole relief is characterised by the predominance of flat surfaces typical of the extremities of the Panonic Plain. Looking afar, there is no elevation of the ground, nor an obstacle in the horizon.
History
Education in Jimbolia is comprised of 2 kindergartens, a primary school plus gymnasium and a high school unit. The school-aged population consists of 2700 students (from which 416 in pre-school education, 1297 at gymnasium and almost 1000 at high school).

Traditions
A number of events organised by the Town's City Hall in the last few years have already become a tradition; among these we mention Jimbolia's Rally, Blues Euro regional Festival, Jimbolian Days, Ignatius Feast (gastronomic contest for pork dishes).
