Community: Sânpaul Cluj
Sânpaul commune is located in the Clujului Hills area on Valea Mare river, at 24 km away from Cluj-Napoca city on the international road E81 with a population of 2564 inhabitants and a total surface of 93,22 square km.
Sânpaul cillage is placed between forested hills, some with spruce. The forests have numerous valleys and clerings such as those on Sardului Valley with daffodils and piebald tulips.
Climate is cold-temperate, rains are often and winters are rich in snow, in winter when the sky is clear Gilăului Mountains with snow on their top could be seen from the village.
History
The place's name comes from Saint Paul. The settlement has a long and rich historical tradition, archaeological digging done in Hotarele Baciului and Nadășului demonstrating the existence of human settlements since the Neolithic.
