Community: Ştefăneşti
The current common Ştefăneşti, Vâlcea county, is one of the five localities with the name of Romania (Arges, Constanta, Iasi, Ilfov and Vâlcea). Placed in an extremely favorable geographic agriculture, with fertile soils, rich hydrographic network, a temperate climate without great excesses, sunny hills with excellent viticulture, with forests of conifers and foioase stretched in the vicinity of fish-rich river Olt - territory Ştefăneşti village was inhabited since ancient times by a stable population. Revealed by archaeological excavations, there are still traces of human prehistory. Drăgăşani in the city, but near the border with common Ştefăneşti was revealed a Dacian settlement - Rusidava. Dobruşa and Şerbăneşti villages have a document from the year 1437, being among the oldest settlements in Romania.
