Community: Suatu
Suatu village is located at 40 km away from Cluj-Napoca. Suatu village is situated at an altitude of 540 m on the Transylvania Plain, with the surface of 5284 ha. It consists of 3 villages: Suatu - the commune residency, Aruncuta and Dâmburi. On the territory of the commune there is a natural botanical reserve. The area is of approximately 4 hectares and comprises the sunny hay stacks of a portion of the hill La Ţicle, representing nuclei hay stacks of steppe vegetation where there are plants of dry steppes around the Black Sea-Mediterranean species of Transylvania Plain.
The natural reserve on the territory of the commune has two unique plants in the world: Astragalus peterfi ( "haymaker's peterfi) family fabaceae and salvia transsilvanica (Romanian Jaleş ).
History
Suatu was documentary certified as commune in 1213, and as ethnic and economic unit in the year 1348, while the village Aruncuta was dated18 November 1346. However there is archaeological evidence of the continuity of the area inhabited since the Neolithic.

Local resources
On the territory of the commune there is the fishing facility that includes 70 ha of water located in the Bercheşului Valley rich with recreation opportunities on the banks of lakes and also in the agro-tourist guesthouse from Suatu town.

Traditions
The most beautiful rural customs are related to the celebration of the life stages of a person an opportunity to join the whole family. At the same time, the peasants are very faithful people, respect all religious rituals specific to the holidays during the year.
