Suceviţa commune, situated in a wonderful geographical area at the of Great Obcina with Rădăuţilor Hollow, guarded by beautiful crags of Furcoiului, Tărşcior clearing, Ovăzului clearing, Palma; Suceviţa village is unique, enviable, matchlessly worthy for those who come and visit it.
Suceviţa commune is part of the well known settlements in Romania, firstly because of Sucevita Monastery, which also gave the name of the place. Sucevita Monastery concludes the glorious chapter of Moldavian art from XV-XVI centuries, and, unlike the monuments which precede it, it is no longer the work of a benefactor, but a family of boyars who gave the country a metropolitan and two rulers: Movileştii.
History
Suceviţa village is a secular Romanian settlement located at the foot of the Great Obcinii at the western limit of Rădăuţi Hollow, was and is still known in the country and not only here for its hardworking and goodmen people, but also the existence of the Suceviţa Monastery – foundation of Movileşti.
