Community: Traian
Traian commune under its current form was founded in 1968 as a result of a new administrative law.
The formation process of Traian commune as a territorial unit took place in conditions of economic and social development where the geographic, human and natural resources, historical developments and the achieved social status, provides its own features. Traian commune is located on DN 2F at 13 km North-East of Bacau city, on the lower course of the Morii brook and in the southern part the state forest is found.
Traian community is proud of hardworking people, householders and full of initiative. Besides these, the commune also benefits of renovated schools, asphalted roads, network of water supply system for the collection of domestic waste and small businesses operating in the village range.
History
Traian commune consists of 5 villages: Bogdăneşti, Hertioana-Razesi, Hertioana de Jos, Traian and Zăpodia. Some of them have a length of several hundreds of years, and continue their existance until today, while others are newer with 100 years of existence or less. Local resources
Among the resources of our community we can include: location of Traian at a small distance of Bacau city, with a very good accessibility, fertile agricultural land, the forest, which borders Traian, a place that draws in the days of summer, many people loving the nature or not , and lastly, the special landscape, untouched by man in the villages

Traditions
Main traditions preserved in the commune are those related to the winter habits: carols, urat/ wishing. Another usually preserved custom in this area is called "the tree timber".
