Liebling (german Liebling, hungarian Kedvencz, Liebling) is a locality in Timiş county Banat area which came into being through the colonization of the german ethnics in 1786 (şvabi).
We are proud of a big school with three floors and two churches one orthodox and one catholic which has the height of 88 metres.
We are also proud about the construction of the biggest slaughter-house for sheep in the Western part of the country.
History
The first documentary attestation of the locality appears in the XIIIth century under the name of Besd or Desd. Liebling commune was founded in the year 1786 through the colonization of the german ethnics (şvabi)

Local resources
The local resources represent the agricultural surface and an irrigation and fishing dam. The total surface is of 8226 out of which 453 ha represent within built-up area and 7773 ha out of buil-up area. The commune has 7774 ha agricultural terrain, out of which 6498 ha arable, 858 ha pasture, 406 ha hay-field and 12 ha orchards.

Traditions
On 15 August takes place "The Prayer of Liebling Commune", on 8 September takes place "The Prayer of Cerna Village", on 8 October the inhabitants attend "The Prayer of Iosif Village", and during the Christmas Eve the group of young people from the locality sings carols in the spirit of winter holidays, activity preceded by "The Dubaşilor Ball".
