Community: Recea
Recea (Vajdarécse in Hungarian) is a locality in the county of Brasov, Transylvania, Romania, situated 12 km away from Făgăraş. Recea city is resident of village with the same name, which consists of 7 villages (Recea, Dejani, Berivoi, Săsciori, Iaşi, Săvăstreni and Gura Valley), being one of the most extensive common in the county. Geographically speaking Recea village falls in the central-eastern basin of Făgăraşului hollow or Olt country, which in turn is part of the chain of depressions edge of Transylvania Plateau, linking Fagaras massif on one side and Plateau Tarnavelor, on the other hand.
Here you can practice ecumenical tourism, equestrian tourism, silvoturismul, tourism, tourism antistres and tours can be organized for a day or even mountain expeditions. The place is considered as a blessed one by God with everything that pure nature can offer.
History
In 1765, the village was partially militarized and was part of the IX border Company of the I Regiment of Border from Orlat, until 1851, when it was disbanded.
